Michael now has his own 'War Time Memories' slot on Ian Pearce's BBC
Eastern Counties Radio programme. Ian Pearce presents a show every
week day evening from 7.00pm until 10.00pm joining the east of England
together for three hours of music and chat. Michael's 'War Time
Memories' slot is at present every other Thursday from 9.00pm until
9.45pm.
Michael's 'War Time Memories' can be heard across the Eastern
Counties, and so if you live in Cambridgeshire, Essex,
Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire,
Norfolk or Suffolk you can tune in to hear some of the very special
stories and poems from World War One and World War Two, that Michael
has collected during the research for his six books.
Michael was originally asked to do just one programme on Ian Pearce's
BBC Radio show but due to the hundreds of letters and telephone calls
that were received after the first show, Michael was asked to present
a regular 45 minute slot. So if you have enjoyed looking at this
website, or you have enjoyed one of Michael's books, or if you have
even been fortunate enough to hear one of Michael's talks and want to hear
more, then tune into BBC Eastern Counties Radio, on 96 & 95.7 FM every
other Thursday and take a trip down memory lane with Michael Bentinck
and Ian Pearce.
