War Time Memories

wartime_memories_cover_sml.jpg (13218 bytes) War Time Memories is full of true stories which tell of life during the war from a different prospective. These stories have been collected from the many people that Michael has spoken to on radio or from people who have read one of his five previous books.

It is unique among his six books because it contains a story from World War One along with an up to date story of how children in schools today are learning about what life was like for children growing up during World War Two. The book also contains many of the letters and poems that Michael receives from his growing number of readers world wide.

You will be able to read the story of a man that served in the Royal Norfolk Regiment who was at the fall of Singapore, and how he tried to escape, but was captured and imprisoned by the Japanese. There is also a technical account of what life was like for a Navigator flying missions over occupied territory in a bomber. We read of his unrequited war time love with a Mexican lady. There are stories from a Nurse, a Rent Collector, Land Army Girls, Evacuees, and also a story from a lady who helped lift the spirits of a war-torn nation in the Voluntary Entertainment Service (VSO).

Peoples stories which appear in War Time Memories are:

Arthur Seager
Geoffrey Wilson
